Surendra Gaggara (Shawn) began his New Zealand journey in 2014, arriving from India with a background in Computer Networking. While he started his career as a Networking Technician, his true calling lay in hands-on challenges. Driven by a desire to solve tangible problems and build lasting quality, Shawn pivoted into the construction industry.
This shift was marked by dedication. Shawn didn't just change jobs; he mastered a demanding trade. Working diligently through his apprenticeship, he earned his stripes and became a Certified Plumber, Gasfitter, and Drainlayer. This triple certification means he is expertly qualified to handle complex projects across water systems, gas lines, and drainage infrastructure - ensuring comprehensive and compliant solutions.
Today, Shawn is known for his expertise in tackling complex renovations and new build projects, consistently providing durable, high-quality solutions that ensure client satisfaction. His work is defined by precision, adherence to the NZ Building Code, and a deep commitment to excellence.
Our Foundation: Family and Future
Shawn’s professional success is grounded in a rich personal life. He met his wife, Divya, a Data Analyst in the finance sector, in 2019. After Divya joined him in New Zealand in 2020, their family grew with the arrival of their daughter, Ganvi, in 2023.
When the tools are set aside, their focus shifts to enjoying the simple, meaningful things in life. They love cultivating their garden and growing their own produce, staying active with a game of badminton, and cherishing quality time with family and friends.
Shawn's story is a powerful testament to determination and the pursuit of excellence- in mastering his trade, building a thriving business, and creating a fulfilling life for his family in New Zealand.
